Michelle Bell, Founder

Many families are surviving a new normal as a result of violence.  Often times the new normal is due to gun violence resulting in the death of a son, daughter, mother, father, sister or brother. The new normal for my family began February 10, 2019, when gun violence took the life of my son, Andre Brown, a brother, nephew, cousin and friend. The grief of the loss hit me like a ton of bricks. The healing process is never-ending.   The impact of the trauma becomes primary in your life.  Gunfire, a split-second event changed my life forever.  My son is gone, and my life is not the same. One of life’s most traumatic events is my reality.  I buried my child. Daily I mask the pain and perhaps the mask is my new normal.  The challenges and difficulties associated with murder loss are insurmountable. The continuous love, support and prayer from family and friends gives me joy in knowing that I am not alone.  Prayer, Activity & Conversation help ease the grief pain and is the foundation for M-PAC Cleveland.
